  1. AMS Installation
  2. ================
  3. AMS program files are stored in either one of two forms of archive file, with 
  4. the stem AMSMNU
  5.  
  6. AMSMNU.EXE is a self-extracting archive file.
  7. AMSMNU.ZIP is an archive file requiring PKUnZip for extraction.
  8.  
  9. To install the system,
  10.  
  11. Make a directory on your hard disk, then change to it, eg
  12.  
  13. MD \PUBLIC
  14. CD \PUBLIC
  15. MD AMS
  16. CD AMS
  17.  
  18. For self extracting archive files, type:
  19.     A:AMSMNU         or     B:AMSMNU     as applicable.
  20. The file will self extract. 
  21.  
  22. For .Zip Archive files, type:
  23.     PKUNZIP A:AMSMNU    or     PKUNZIP B:AMSMNU as applicable.
  24.  
  25. Some archive files will have the version number tagged to the end of the file
  26. name, ie AMSMNU15, in which case this name should be used in place of AMSMNU.

  29. KEEP THE ORIGINAL AMSMNU FILE - YOU ARE LIKELY TO NEED IT AGAIN ONE DAY!

  31. Please start by reading the README.AMS file and list the documentation.

  33. VENDOR.DOC & FILE_ID.DIZ if they exist, are files containing information for 
  34. software distributors.

  36. DEALER.DOC if it exists, is a file containing information for Dealers who 
  37. may wish to purchase the commercial version.
